Are there any plans to update the EnergyPlus Weather Converter program to use more current ASHRAE Design Conditions? [closed]

The current version of Weather Converter program that comes with EnergyPlus Version 24 is still Version 8.1.0 and reads three files containing the ASHRAE 2013 Design Conditions. Is there any possibility to update the program to read more current , i.e., 2017 or 2021, ASHRAE Design Conditions? Can that be done by simply replacing the three files or is the Weather Converter program locked to read only those 2013 files ?
